Nick Harrison kicks off the formal proceedings with the Senior Colts awards.
The Senior Colts award for best bowler of the season went to Connor O'Brien, who took a wicket every 14 balls he bowled.
Best batsman went to Martin Peters, with an average of 51 - his dad, Mike, picked up the award on his behalf.
Peter Herbert presents a special award to Torsten Wrigley and Tim Weston for their partnership of 117 against Stoke d'Abernon - a club and league colts record for any wicket, all the more remarkable since under league rules batsmen have to retire at 50!
Senior Colts overall player of the season was Jamie Whitehouse, who averaged 30 with the bat, 20 with the ball, played every single game and captained half of them as well.
In return, Jamie surprises Nick Harrison with a signed cricket bat from the colts in recognition of all his coaching and management efforts.
Jamie Whitehouse also picked up the first of the senior awards, the Longacre Trophy, for the best performance by an existing colt in an adult match, with his score of 51 vs The Blues.
The Alan Ward Man of the Match Tankard for the best all-round individual performance in any single match was presented to Louis Dore with 91 and 3-4 vs. Uplands. The following performances were also in contention for the award:

Sam Gummer (53 and 3-20 vs. Peper Harrow)
Pete Melhuish (54 and 4-12 vs. Old Woking)
Fred Martin-Dye (74 and 4-61 vs. Milford)
Richard Smith (42 and 7-90 vs. Waverley)
 

The Humphrey Cup for the best bowling performance in any single match was presented to Dallas McDermott with 8-20 vs. Fernhurst. There were worthy mentions to the following:

Rich Smith (7-90 vs. Waverley)
Sam Gummer (7-39 vs. Frensham)
Graham Webb (8-36 vs. Milford)
 

The Cope Cup for the best batting performance in any single match was presented to Louis Dore for his 91 vs. Uplands. This performance was closely followed by these innings:

Alex Mackie (86 vs. Milford)
Josh Milton (86 not out vs. The Blues)
Harry Giles (88 not out vs. Mad Hatters)
Fred Martin-Dye (89 not out vs. Grayswood)
 

The President's Cup for the Blackheath member, outside the Committee, who has made a special contribution over the course of the season, was presented to Harry Giles. He played an astonishing 36 matches, scoring 428 runs and taking 19 wickets, but also turned out every week without fail to help coach the younger colts.
 
The John Macdonald Cup for the outstanding young player of the year under 21 who has not already won a senior club award was awarded to Peter Mehuish. He played only 9 matches but made a total of 180 runs with an average of 30, scoring a match-winning 54 and taking 4-12 vs. Old Woking, scoring the winning runs against MCC in Cricket Week, and top-scoring in the 2nd XI defeat of Shalford that won promotion. The trophy was collected by Harry Giles. Other outstanding performances were:

Josh Milton (222 runs with an average of 20.2)
Edwin Dawe (121 runs with and average 20.2 and 20 wickets with an average of 24.5)

 

The Roy Lonsdale Trophy is for the Heathens player of the year was presented to the captain Richard Smith and their were honourable mentions for:
Ed Allen (24 wickets)
Ben Dallyn (233 runs with an average of 21.2)
Rich scored 505 runs at an average of 38.8 and took 24 wickets with an average of 15.9. Rich also picked up an extra award for the best blazer made out of a pair of bedroom curtains!
The Robinson Cup for the 2nd XI player of the year was presented to Sam Gummer who scored 294 runs at average of 24.5 and took 37 wickets with an average of 10.7, including 5 five-wicket hauls. There were also honourable mentions for:

Fred Martin-Dye (336 runs with an average 37.3)
Ed Allen (24 wickets with an average of 9 including 3 five-wicket hauls)

The Alan Hall Cup for the 1st XI player of the year was presented to Graham Webb for his outstanding bowling performance of 69 wickets, with an average of 10.3, including 6 five-wicket hauls (the most of any bowler in the I'Anson League). An honourable mention also went to Paul Nash for his 690 runs with an average of 57.5.

The Chairman’s Cup for the best batsman of the season, in all XIs was awarded to Paul Nash who scored a grand total of 768 runs with an average of 51.2. There were also honourable mentions to:


Richard Smith (771 runs with an average of 32.1)
Tim Seebold (571 runs with an average of 38.1)

The Francis Hayes Cup for the best bowler of the season, in all XIs was presented to Graham Webb with a grand total of 93 wickets with an average of 9.9 including 8 five-wicket hauls (the highest aggregate in the club since 1988). There was also an honourable mention for Ed Allen for his 54 wickets with an average of 15.5 which included 5 five-wicket hauls.

Instead of the traditional bouquet, Billie Hockley is this year presented with the cricket ball which was hit for 6 during the 1st XI match against Tilford, narrowly missing her in the clubhouse kitchen!
