Result: Blackheath Won Batting First by 63 runs
Blackheath - D McDermott 53 & 3-11, P Nash 39, G Webb 4-36, C Ennis 3-21

Blackheath lost the toss again and were asked to bat by Lurgashall stand in skipper Drew Clark, who was covering for injured captain Scott Evans, whose batting was to be missed by the home side.
Lurgshall's opening bowlers A Evans and Clark bowled a good line and length and had Blackheath in trouble at 16 for 3. Lee Huffer's spin also took wickets and he continued with Evans to take regular wickets leaving Blackheath reeling at 87 for 8. Mr consistent Paul Nash making 39 for Blackheath before being well caught by Evans at cover point. Batting at 7 a captain's knock was needed by McDermott who batted well top scoring with 53. Blackheath were 99 for 9, but with usual top order batsmen Tim Seebold batting at 11 due to a badly damaged hand, he was still able to work the ball around. He and McDermott took the score to 142 all out giving the Blackheath bowlers a total to bowl at. Evans and Huffer taking 4 wickets a piece with Evans bowling a marathon 23 overs.
Lurgashall made a steady start and were 58 for 3 off 19 overs. Blackheath opening bowler Clive Ennis taking the 3 wickets bowling an excellent opening spell of superb line, length and good pace taking 3 for 21 off 8 overs. Graham Webb and McDermott then both took 2 wickets in 2 balls leaving Lurgashall in deep trouble at 58 for 7 before bowling them out for 79 off just 25.3 overs. Webb finishing with 4 for 36 off 12 overs and McDermott 3 for 11 off 5.3 overs. T Bonnett top scoring for Lurgshall with 21. Of note also was Blackheath keeper Terry Brockman taking 6 dismissals (5 caught behind & 1 stumping) in a polished performance behind the stumps.
